Walk a Mile-a-Day in June
Due to the success of Walk a Mile a Day in May we have decided to extend our walking challenge and are launching #WalkaMileaDayinJune
If you've enjoyed the daily walk in May why not sign up again and continue to support the Pink Ribbon Foundation and those affected by breast cancer, whilst continuing to take care of your own physical and mental health too?
If you missed out on the May walk, then here's your chance to get involved now. We're looking for households to sign up and commit to walking one mile every day between the 1st and 30th June 2020 for charity.
There is no sign-up fee and no pressure to set yourself a fundraising target - unless you want to! We suggest donating £1 per mile per household - raising a total of £30 for the Pink Ribbon Foundation (or whatever you can afford). Your donation(s) can be added to your own page at any time during the month of June.
Now more than ever, it’s important to take daily exercise outdoors and as lockdown restrictions continue to ease, it's now possible to enjoy a walk outside with not just your own household, but with one other person who is NOT from your own household, so long as you follow the UK government guidelines and keep a safe distance from each other and others. Why not sign up with a friend and have a natter as you do your daily walk and raise money for a good cause at the same time.
It takes just 15-25 minutes to walk a mile at a moderate pace and the fresh air will reap huge benefits for all involved whilst the challenge of the daily walk, will give you something to work towards together.
Once you’ve completed your challenge, we’ll also send you a certificate in recognition of your support which you can proudly hang on the fridge and don’t forget to share photos of you walking on social media #WalkaMileaDayinJune
