Lindex – “Together we can make a difference”
October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month has come to an end and Lindex stores across Europe, together with their customers have raised 1 million euros (almost £875,000) to support cancer charities!
“I am proud of all our employees and customers that have shown an amazing commitment during October. Together we can make a difference and we want to do what we can to contribute to this important cause”, says Susanne Ehnbåge, CEO, Lindex
Lindex have been a proud supporter of breast cancer charities across Europe since 2003 and have raised 13.9 million euros to fund research into the disease and to give support to women (and a smaller percentage of men) diagnosed with the disease!
This year Lindex produced a selection of fashion accessories which donated 10% of the sales price to their charity partners. They also designed a special bracelet and a tote bag made from sustainable materials and all profits from these items were donated to the cause. Pink ribbons were also on all counters and some local activities were also organised.
Of the total amount raised, Lindex UK has raised an amazing £6,281 which will be donated to the Pink Ribbon Foundation, the UK charity partner of the company.
Lisa Allen, Head of Corporate Partnerships at the Foundation said, “We thank the team at Lindex for their ongoing support during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Working together is always very well received by both their staff and of course by all of the customers who support the partnership by buying the limited edition products. Together we continue to raise awareness of this terrible disease and vital funds to fight breast cancer. We look forward to nurturing our partnership and working with the UK team again in 2019.”
